Yes. As your Doula, I want to build a relationship with you and let you get to know me. At these visits, you can fill me in on your preferences and some medical and birth history, and I will serve you by answering your questions, educating you, helping you write your birth plan (if desired), and teaching you comfort measures and other helpful tips for pregnancy and labor. As your Doula, my main jobs are to inform and support you in whatever decisions you make.
WHAT INFORMATION DO YOU
need to know?
That is up to you. In order to best serve you, I will benefit from knowing about your past birth experiences, any pertinent medical history, and your hopes, fears and desires going into your birth.
WHAT HAPPENS DURING
a prenatal visit?
We will discuss labor and delivery, postpartum, breastfeeding, your new baby, etc. We will go over your birth preferences, and I will help you write a birth plan and practice comfort measures. I will listen to your wishes, concerns and questions and provide answers and support. I can refer you to good resources so you can further educate yourself and prepare for the exciting times ahead.
HOW FAR WILL YOU
travel?
I am based in East Central Georgia but gladly serve Georgia and South Carolina. Depending on your birth patterns and how fast you labor, distance will be a factor to consider.
